Leeds interested in move for Rangers midfielder - reports
Leeds United are interested in Rangers' attacking midfielder Josh Windass, according to reports in Scotland.
The Daily Record reports that Leeds are willing to better the £500,000 offer submitted by Championship rivals Preston North End.
Despite interest, it's understood that Windass has made it clear he would rather stay put at Ibrox and fight for his place in Graeme Murty's side.
The 24-year-old has been a regular part of the Rangers team that sits 3rd in the Scottish Premiership standings.
Windass has scored six goals and assisted a further five in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
The Bluebirds have submitted a £2.5m bid for the 26-year-old, but reports say that Leeds are set to match the bid in an attempt to bring him to Elland Road.
Forshaw has featured in 14 games in all competitions this season, but has found himself out-of-favour following Tony Pulis' appointment at Middlesbrough.
Whilst Leeds are interested in Windass, the club are prioritising a deal for Forshaw and it's currently a doubt that they will move for the Rangers midfielder during the January transfer window.
