New signing Struijk scores 'twice' as LUFC u23s draw
New signing Pascal Struijk scored an own goal and then a goal at the right end as Leeds United under-23s drew 2-2 with Birmingham City.
Remarkably, the goals came within two minutes of each other. Firstly, Seddon's cross was turned into his own net by the former Ajax man in the 44th minute.
Moments later, the ball fell to Struijk from a corner and the centre-back converted from yards out.
Another new recruit, Sam Dalby, scored late into the game to secure a point for Carlos Corberan's side.
18-year-old Struijk signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Whites last week, running until the summer of 2021.
The defender started his career with ADO Den Haag, before moving to Ajax and has been capped for the Netherlands at Under-17 level.
